This page explains the cookies and similar browser technology used on the Grok Bots for DTC website, published by Jesse Bern through Red Beard Conversions LLC. Our Privacy notice explains how we handle subscriber and visitor information.

Browser preferences

When you choose light or dark mode, the site saves that choice in your browser’s localStorage under grok-theme. This is browser storage, rather than a cookie, and keeps your chosen theme for later visits until you clear it.

Visit analytics

We use Fathom to count site visits. Fathom describes its analytics as cookie-free: it counts visits without setting analytics cookies. This is separate from the advertising pixels described below. Read Fathom’s explanation of its data processing.

Advertising pixels

The production website can load X and Meta advertising pixels to measure page visits and newsletter signups. These providers use cookies and similar technology under their own policies. The site also supports a Google tag when configured. Advertising tracking is separate from Fathom’s cookie-free visit analytics.

On the welcome page after subscribing, a session marker with the prefix lead: and a subscription identifier is saved in sessionStorage to avoid recording the same signup repeatedly in that browser session. The query string is removed before the ad pixels load. The ad script skips the thank-you page after booking and URLs whose query strings contain an email marker or address. Local and preview versions do not receive enabled tracking identifiers from the site’s analytics configuration.

Embedded subscription form

The subscription form is provided by Beehiiv and loads from Beehiiv’s service. That service handles the form and may use its own cookies or browser storage. See Beehiiv’s Privacy Policy for its practices.

Your choices

You can block or clear cookies and site storage in your browser settings, and change personalized advertising settings with the ad providers. Clearing site storage also removes your saved theme. Blocking third-party services may prevent an embedded form from loading.
